DESCRIZIONE
La reputazione dell’ensemble Café Zimmermann è legata a Johann Sebastian Bach sin dalla sua fondazione, nel 1999. Questa nuova registrazione guarda alla musica del Kantor di Lipsia da un’angolazione diversa, quella dei quaderni in cui i musicisti abitualmente annotavano brani e movimenti che maggiormente apprezzati. Questa registrazione riunisce opere scritte da Bach alla fine del 1740 e che potrebbero essere definite di carattere intimo, tra cui la famosa Sonata a tre dell’Offerta Musicale. Sotto la direzione del violinista Pablo Valetti e della clavicembalista Céline Frisch, l’ensemble si avventura addirittura nel territorio mozartiano con l’Aria e la Fuga K404a, tratti da due brani di Bach che lo stesso Mozart aveva annotato e arrangiato nel proprio quaderno musicale.
