Questo nuovo album del Coro Filarmonico di Ekaterinburg presenta Three Sacred Hymns di Alfred Schnittke e il suo Concerto per coro su testi poetici di Grigor Narekatsi (san Gregorio di Narek).
Andrei Petrenko, direttore artistico dell’ensemble, afferma: «Il Concerto è una tela corale unica, in cui si intrecciano stratificazioni musicali di grande profondità. Il brano permette a chi ascolta e a chi esegue di trascendere l’esistenza terrena ed esplorare le sfere sublimi dischiuse da Narekatsi e Schnittke. È un’incarnazione della spiritualità e racchiude un’infinità di significati che possono essere compresi solo attraverso il testo sacro».
