Londra 1651, terzo anno di guerra civile. I teatri sono chiusi, ma la vita notturna è piuttosto vivace: la gente, vivendo giorno per giorno, si gode qualche ora di evasione grazie a danze spensierate, canzoni allegre e buona birra. C’è così tanta vita nelle arie tradizionali, nelle diminuzioni virtuosistiche e nei canti popolari che, grazie ai teatri, erano così diffuse. L’ensemble Prisma, passando tra i bar e i pub di Londra, esplora la musica da ballo britannica del Settecento, includendo nel programma melodie tratte dalla famosa raccolta The English Dancing Master, così come musica di The Division Violin, melodie popolari scozzesi e irlandesi e alcuni successi più tardi come Danny Boy.
