In questa registrazione si giustappongono i compositori Philippe Hersant e Benoît Menut, due diverse generazioni, ma amici da oltre venticinque anni. Benoît Menut ha avuto l’idea di scrivere per il Trio Karénine un lavoro concertante, Depuis le Rivage, simile per lunghezza, forma e strumentazione a Chant del’isolé di Philippe Hersant.
